To run SUPERAntispyware, double click on the yellow and black bug in the taskbar near your clock. Now you will see the Main Menu.

Click on "Scan your Computer…" You have a choice to "Perform Qick Scan" that scans the most likely areas that spyware can be in theRAM, Registry, Program and Windows files. It takes about 15 minutes.

You can click on "Perform Complete Scan. It will scan all your files. Do this about once a month. It takes about 45 minutes.

Again on the Main Menu, you have a Scheduled Scanning button but it only works in the paid version. Do manual scans once a week with a "Quick Scan" and once a month with a "Complete Scan".

Now look at "Preferences" on the Main Menu. Under "Start-Up Options" you can uncheck "Show splash screen on startup" to stop the splash screen when you boot up the computer.

When you scan the computer you may get Tracking Cookies. You can quarantine them and or remove them. They are not spyware.

Some questions followed…

Can you run this program with Bell Sympatico?
Answer: Yes.

Member just purchased a computer which has McAfee and asks if it is okay.
Answer: That program does a good job but it, Norton and others require updating after the license runs out and must be paid for.

When I run Adaware - what is "MRU"?
Answer: It stands for "Most Recently Used" - For instance the last type of photo you looked at was a jpg. It's not a problem. It is there to keep your computer tasks private.
