To Start a Scan
Double click on the icon near the clock.

If your screen looks like this with red lettering
you need to update and run a scan.
Click on Web Update and download.
When complete, click on Scan System.
For a Smart Scan,
to check critical areas taking about 5 minutes,
click on Smart Scan and Scan Now.

Click "Perform Actions Now" to take their recommended actions.

In summary, the default settings, except for the "Information Update" are recommended. This version looks faster and easier to run.

Why can'I we use two virus checkers at once?
- Don't do it, there could be conflicts with the two programs as they compete for the virus. You take the chance of having your computer freeze up, or worse.
You can use two anti-spyware programs at once.
Kerio- firewall program-can't get rid of it?
- Click on Start, Run and enter "msconfig" without the quotes. Click on Enter. Click on Startup and if you see it there uncheck it, click Apply and click OK. If that does not work try clicking on Start, Run and enter "services.msc" without the quotes. Scroll down the names and if you find Kerio, right click on the entry and chose Stop.
