A quick look at Vista

The club's notebook has both Windows XP and Windows Vista installed.
Charlie showed the Vista Sidebar that has gadgets you can add or remove.
The Analogue Clock and Sticky Notes are popular.

You can turn off the sidebar by right clicking on the icon near the clock in the taskbar.

You can get the sidebar back by clicking on "Start", then "All Programs",
"Accessories", and "Windows Sidebar".
Vista has moved and renamed some functions and it takes some effort to remember them.
For example: If you wish the remove a program it is not in "Start", "Control Panel",
"Add or Remove programs". It is now called "Programs and Features".
Vista is reported by Microsoft to be 60% more secure than XP. Vista has added many
security features, some of which have annoyed users. User Account Control is a
feature that alerts you when a program is starting. It could be a malware program
and you have the ability to not let it run. It does, however, ask for permission
to run when you start any program.
To some users the only thing they need to know about Vista is how to shut it down.
You click on "Start" and then the "arrow", and then "Shut Down"

Questions:
- On Vista 64 bit is there a difference with the quality
of images over Vista 32 bit?
Answer:
- No it is a speed improvement.
Computers with 64 bit processors can have more memory than
32 bit processors.
32 bit processors can only use 3 GB of memory.
An additional 1BG of memory can be used by the video in
your 32 bit computer.
64 bit operating systems are available in XP Pro and Vista.
Application programs that use 64 bits are scarce as it is relatively new.
- A member has Vista and MS Outlook.
Every time an email is sent they get an End User Agreement,
EULA, request agreement popping up and it won't allow any re-registering.
It was okay with XP. How can it be fixed?
Answer:
It could be a problem that MS can fix without charges.
It maybe necessary to un-install MS Office with Revo Uninstaller
and re-installing MS Office.
Before you un-install, you may wish to back up your data from Outlook.
There is a website that offers how to back up Outlook data.
Go to this URL and click where the red arrow points.
